MSDTC / sql2000 active/active

We need to create an active/active sql 2000 cluster on 2003 enterprise
server. Do I need multiple MSDTC or just one?
Windows 2000/2003 server clustering only allows for instance within a
cluster.

We're planning on having instance 1 on node 1, instance 2 on node 2.

You can have multiple SQL instances, but only one MSDTC.
