We need to create an active/active sql 2000 cluster on 2003 enterprise
server. Do I need multiple MSDTC or just one?
Windows 2000/2003 server clustering only allows for instance within a
cluster.

|||Are you saying we cannot have an active/active cluster?
We're planning on having instance 1 on node 1, instance 2 on node 2.

|||No, I am saying you can only have 1 copy of MSDTC within a cluster (Longhorn
will change this...).

You can have multiple SQL instances, but only one MSDTC.

that correct?

before its resources start. You will need to with your applications.
