Hi,
I need to run MSQL 6.5, 7 and 2000 on single Windows 2000 server.
Is it even possible?
Thanks, SimsasHello Simsas,
as far as I know this constallation is not possible, because the services installed by these different version doe have the same name.
Perhaps some of the experts in this forum know a way to realise it!
Greetings,
Carsten|||Yes you can have but for 6.5 or 7.0 you can only use one server instance, you need to switch between versions. And for SQL 2K only one default instance and variety of named instances.|||you won't be able to run the 6.5 along with the 7.0 as only one of them can be active at a time, I can't remember if 6.5 and 2000 can run at the same time
Is there any particular reason why you have to run all three versions at the same time on the same server? You should be able to run your 6.5 databases on 7 or 2000 in 6.5 compatability mode with little or no modification (depending on the app that's using it of course)|||thanx , i'll try
